UV curing is the process whereby ultraviolet light irradiates photo curable adhesives applied to substrates, initiating a photochemical reaction (polymerisation) and hardening of the adhesive.

The amount (dose) of Ultra Violet light applied to the adhesive is critical for this process to occur correctly and we supply a range of LED-based light sources designed for curing applications. All of our UV products have proprietary control software allowing this control to be carried out precisely.

Light Emitting Diodes offer many advantages compared with lamp-based light sources including:-

  • Ability to specify individual LED wavelengths
  • Multiple targeted wavelengths with Individual control of each wavelength
  • Pulsing
  • Improved lifetime

Adaptive Lighting have UV LED systems designed for every application requirement - from precise local illumination delivered via optical fibre to ultra-high power flood illumination of large areas.

DynaCure 1

DynaCure is a UVLED spot cure system featuring state-of-the-art ultra high brightness UVLED chip-on-board technology. UV illumination is delivered via handheld "wands" with a maximum of four per control unit allowing for multiple cure areas. Each UVLED wand can emit narrowband UV light between 365 and 405 nm with power levels of 15W/cm² @ 365nm and 25W/cm² @ 385, 395 and 405nm.

DynaCure Touch

DynaCure Touch is the latest addition to the range featuring an ergonomically designed controller with angled LCD touch screen for operational viewing coupled with ease of programming. Control from touchscreen, footswitch or PLC/PC with initial set up using a proprietary GUI.

FloodCureFloodCure Z2 consists of 240 Ultra High Brightness Light Emitting Diodes (UHB LEDs) creating a large uniform curing area of up to 200mm x 200mm with up to 100W/cm² peak intensity. The narrow emitting band LEDs can be specified as single-wavelength or combined broadband/multi-peak outputs in the range 275nm to 425nm. Wavelengths of 265nm to 365nm and >435nm can be accommodated.

The system can be triggered with an external switch or controlled via Ethernet with an intuitive GUI featuring independent zones, thereby allowing the user to adjust the size and cure time of each area via 16 channel control.

InFiberVIS RingLightInFiber UV was developed as an interface to fibreoptic bundle or liquid lightguide solutions and brings the many advantages of LED technology to these lighting installations. Featuring state-of-the-art Chip-On-Board (COB) LED technology with integrated LED fault detection and reporting, temperature sensing and over-temperature shutoff InFiber guarantees best in class optical Intensity, thermal performance, efficiency and lifetime.

InFiber's zoned circular LED array provides maximum uniformity across all fibre bundle sizes with UVC to Violet output utilising single wavelength LEDs in the range 270nm to 435nm, or can incorporate a mixture of wavelengths to meet application requirements.

The GUI allows control of the intensity of the LED light source zones and monitoring of optical and electrical parameters. Stability and repeatability are ensured via closed loop optical feedback technology.

We highly recommend the inclusion of Adaptive Lighting’s RadSense UV Radiometer as a vital accompaniment to our range of UV cure units.
